Best of all, network with fellow business and civic leaders while supporting a great cause: cancer care at The University of Kansas Hospital.
The Treads & Threads Tradition
In just six years, Treads & Threads has raised more than $2.5 million for cancer care at The University of Kansas Hospital. In 2007, it was Kansas City’s seventh most successful philanthropic event, with total revenues nearing $1 million and attendance reaching a sell-out 3,000.
Over the years, Treads & Threads funds have purchased advanced technology for cancer diagnosis and treatment, provided ongoing educational support for patients and families, and most recently helped create two palliative care suites and a Patient and Family Resource Center in the hospital’s newly renovated inpatient cancer care areas.
In 2008, Treads & Threads will benefit The University of Kansas Hospital’s Radiation Oncology program to improve technology, provide additional staff and make facility improvements so we can take even better care of our patients.
Companies Committed to Care
A group of premier companies have joined together, regardless of competitive profiles and business politics, to support the region’s premier academic medical center to build a better future for Kansas City. These companies choose to invest in the health of those who live in this community, and in the mission of academic medicine, where the future of medicine is shaped.
Join presenting sponsor Burns & McDonnell and other Companies Committed to Care and help The University of Kansas Hospital continue to provide high quality patient care.
